What is low impact strength training?

Low-impact strength training is a form of resistance exercise. It is designed to build strength and fitness without repetitive jumping, pounding, or other high-impact movements.

Sessions typically use equipment such as dumbbells, barbells, resistance bands, kettlebells, weight machines and bodyweight exercises to challenge the muscles in a controlled and progressive way. The focus is on developing strength, stability and movement quality whilst placing less stress on the joints.

A typical low-impact strength training workout might include exercises such as squats, deadlifts, rows, presses, step-ups and core work, adapted to suit your experience, mobility and fitness level. Progress is built gradually over time rather than rushing from one exercise to the next.

 

This makes low-impact strength training suitable for a wide range of people, including beginners, adults over 40, those returning to exercise after a break and individuals managing injuries or long-term health conditions.

I do not offer discounts for session blocks. Instead, loyal clients benefit from a huge range of value-added services that no other personal trainer in Barcelona offers. These include access to my Sunday runs, park classes when I run them, homework programmes, educational resources, and ongoing coaching between sessions.

My coaching extends far beyond the time we spend training together. This is why I focus on adding value rather than reducing my prices.

A pleasant and private space kitted out with all the equipment needed to effective train low impact strength. I also provide water, mats and towels for the boutique studio feel. 

Join me on Wednesdays at Poblenou calisthenic park for outdoor strength training

Take advantage of Barcelona’s outdoor calisthenic parks.  With me as your personal fitness coach there is no need to be intimidated by the equipment or the environment.  With the right moves, some heavy duty resistant bands and some good music we can make best use of the bars and ladders to improve our functionality, and build muscle.

If you want personal training in your home and live in the Barcelona districts of Sarria, Gracia and Exiample.  I can come to you. 

I provide convenient at-home personal trainer sessions for clients in Sarrià, Gràcia and Eixample, bringing customized equipment, structured workouts and hands-on coaching to your living room so you can train effectively without facing the chaos at the gym.

Don't live in central Barcelona? - no problem I am also an online Personal Trainer. 

As an online personal trainer, I have everything needed to deliver effective training sessions remotely. We can train together via Zoom or Google Meet, and I can coach, correct technique, and adapt exercises in real time, just as I would during an in-person session. You'll need a reliable internet connection, sufficient space to move safely, and either a set of dumbbells or a selection of resistance bands.
